The source of cricket information matters just as much as the number in a headline. Check the event date, team names and match status before treating an image as a current IPL update.
Verify the context around a shared image
A screenshot can travel without its original date or caption. Find the match page it refers to, confirm the season and check the innings. For a fixture, read the stated time zone. For a result, use the completed scorecard or report rather than inferring an outcome from a single team score.
Read the example in context
The image reads 60/1 after six overs. That is 60 runs and one wicket lost after six completed overs. It is a notation example here. Without the full match context, it cannot answer who won or when the teams next play.
Check a real match at the tournament source
- Confirm the tournament season and both teams.
- Read the date and stated time zone for a fixture.
- For a score, check the batting team, innings and match status.
- For an outcome, use the completed scorecard or match report.
